Different surfaces have different requirements in order to keep their beauty and integrity.
Sealers Plus offers Professional Grade products for Pre-Sealing, Six Sided Dip-Sealing, Sealing, Colour Enhancing and Cleaning.
CLEANING, SEALING AND PROBLEM SOLVING OPTIONS
Marble is a granular metamorphic rock composed of recrystallized carbonate minerals, most commonly calcite or dolomite. Recrystallisation is caused by metamorphism (heat and pressure) of these minerals. This also results in the different type of veining and colours seen in marble along with the different textures (fine to coarse). Due to the high content of calcium carbonate, travertine is susceptible to etching from acid based contaminants eg wine, citrus, soft drinks.
DIFFERENT MARBLE FINISHES:
- FLAMED -The flamed finish, is an old world, rustic, rough look.
- HONED – A honed finish is smooth with little or no gloss (flat or satin finish).
- POLISHED – A polished finish is smooth with a high gloss which also brings out the colour of the stone.
- TUMBLED – A tumbled finish is a matt antique/old world look with irregular edges achieved during the tumbling/ageing process.
- SANDBLASTED – The sandblasted matte/textured finish look is achieved with pressurised water and sand mixture.
